THE LAST WORD… NIGERIAN FRAUDSTERS TARGET UK JUSTICE SECRETARY

This story made me laugh out loud when I saw it appear on BBC News the other day. Basically, Justice Secretary Jack Straw had been the victim of Nigerian fraudsters who sent out hundreds of e-mails in his name asking for money. (Nothing new here then!). The e-mails claimed he had lost his wallet on charity work in Africa and needed 3,500 US dollars to get home. The email with the subject heading of “the Right Hon Jack Straw MP” were sent to council bosses, government chiefs and others.

My Naija brothers and sisters why oh why do you continue with this fraud nonsense? Did your mother and father not tell you that they didn’t want you to “bring shame on the family?” Or were you not there for this speech? I know you guys back home may not care how you make the rest of us Nigerians look, but please… I beg. Stop this, its just too embarrassing! Especially when you’re stupid enough to think that such a scam will work by pretending to be the UK’s Justice Secretary. What’s next? Here’s an idea which I’m sure will work. Why not send emails to all the world leaders pretending to be Obama lost in Kenya? “Di di rins”….
